The firefighters of Lake Oswego Fire Department Organized within the International Association of Firefighters on February 10th 1971. Starting with 17 original members, the Labor side has grown to 43 strong, with improvements in pay and schedule increasing drastically in the last decade. After playing contract catch-up to other comparable departments in Oregon, we now have a fair contract and a good working relationship with The City of Lake Oswego.
