Today, we pause to remember the events of September 11, 2001, and the lives lost. We hold close the memory of the 343 firefighters, the 60 police officers, and the thousands of innocent civilians who never came home that day. Their bravery and sacrifice are etched into our history and our hearts. Local 1159 stands united in honoring their legacy.

Today, we celebrate Labor Day and honor the generations of workers and union members who fought for fair treatment, safety, and dignity on the job. At Clackamas County Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1159, we proudly represent over 400 Firefighters, Paramedics, and Fire Investigators who stand together to protect our community and one another. Being part of a union means having a strong collective voice to ensure our members’ safety, well-being, and rights are protected. On this Labor Day, we reflect on the progress unions have made and remain committed to building a stronger future for our members and the residents we serve.
From all of us at Local 1159, thank you for your continued support.
